 Purpose of a local lettings plan

To ensure that the housing in a designated area is occupied by a sufficiently varied group of people in terms of economic activity, age and family structure to create a “balanced community”

A balanced community is one in which there is not an over representation of particular socially excluded groups compared to their representation in the wider community and where the majority of the residents have actively chosen to live there.

If a property is advertised as being subject to a Local Lettings Plan details of that policy will be shown below for the duration of the advertising cycle.
